Effective, high-performing leaders take care of themselves, those in their care, and take care of business

There are many outstanding leadership development programs. Few, however, focus on "the whole person" to include both performance and wellness, robust assessments of personality and behavior and the entirety of the leader's world. Certain practices help us be more “in the moment” as leaders and meet our intention to take care of ourselves and those for whom we're responsible. Specifically, practices that help us stay:

  • Mindfully Fueled - optimally fuel ourselves at work or home when we don’t control the menu or the venue. Mindfully Fueled leaders learn how to optimize the body’s energy throughout the day and know how to efficiently and effectively plan to stay at their best.

  • Mindfully Fit - effectively maintain our levels of fitness with limited time, "meeting madness" and the many demands of work and life. Mindfully Fit leaders learn simple practices that improve physical and mental flexibility and strength at work, on the road and at home.

  • Mindfully Centered – ways to begin, work through and end each day in balance with appropriate energy, focus and personal centeredness. Mindfully Centered leaders learn portable techniques to generate and release energy, build concentration and manage their response to stress.

  • A Mindful Leader - leverages Hogan® and other assessments for in-depth individual self-knowlege to leverage strengths, manage risks and shape the environment through motives and values. Mindful Leaders learn about themselves and how to positively influence the world around them, professionally and personally.

These practices have evolved over years of supporting, coaching and serving as leaders in organizations small and large. Informed by our formal training in yoga, martial arts, fitness, diving, Hogan certification and over 30 years in senior HR roles.

The Program

Mindfully Leading is an intense, 3-day, custom-tailored leadership and life experience delivered in Sunny Isles Beach, FL, with on-going support for executives and leaders seeking techniques and practices to improve their leadership and life performance. Mindfully Leading is not a class or large group session - it is an individual or small cohort experience involving a deep assessment of strengths, weaknesses, motives, and values across personal and professional domains. Participants complete self-assessments of health, fueling, fitness, and personality and a leadership 360° as part of a unique, integrated development experience that addresses the whole person.
