What is health coaching?

Health coaching is a partnership between coach and client that guides the client toward changes they want to make to live a better life. Health coaches are change agents. They understand how habits form, they know how to modify them, and they specialize in helping people overcome obstacles in pursuit of their goals.

As a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Anne walks the path with clients to help them navigate the confusing, often conflicting, information that’s in the world and make the positive behavioral changes that help them reach their goals.

Anne is not only highly trained in personal fitness, health, and wellness, but has overcome significant challenges including catastrophic injury and acute serious illness as well as managing her own mid-life-onset chronic autoimmune disease. Read about Anne’s background, expertise, and training that enables her to coach clients to improved health, wellness, and personal performance.

Who uses a health coach?

People seeking positive change in their physical health and wellness find value in health coaching. Specifically people who are:

  • new to a chronic illness diagnosis, including autoimmune issues of diabetes and arthritis

  • frustrated or tired of feeling stressed with struggles to lose weight, improve energy, or increase strength

  • wanting to increase their quality of life through positive, sustainable behavior changes that work for them.

How Does this work?

“In health coaching, the expert on what the client needs is the client.”

Whether done in collaboration with a client’s health care provider team or just the client, Anne provides a complimentary information-sharing session to gather necessary information and outline the process to create the plan and explore goals. Health coaching doesn’t involve physical training sessions, but is a weekly series of 30-minute calls to monitor progress, explore challenges, and refine the plan. In health coaching, the expert on what the client needs is the client. Anne supports her clients as a partner and facilitator supporting taking action, creating plans, and achieving goals based on the client’s ideas, interests, and experiences

How much does this cost?

The initial, exploratory session is complimentary. Package prices for sessions are developed based on frequency and duration with options of food/fridge review, grocery store tour, and menu planning. Group sessions can also be organized. All services are provided virtually.
